I wanted to take a moment to recognize some great achievements by some of our membership:
MILLION METER CHALLENGE ( 2 Million Meter Cap & Pin)
MILLION METER CHALLENGE (250,000 Meter Cap & Pin)
Lastly, I would like to take a moment to highlight Lisa Brown, who just had some incredible swims in Australia for the World Lifesaving Championships – 8 Races, 8 medals, 8 Canadian Records, 1 World Record.
In addition to the fantastic individual achievements, she will also be co-holder of world records in the Line throw, Manikin relay and Medley relay.
Well thanks for another great Circuit One meet and a special ‘thanks’ to everyone who swam and volunteered! We now have the final results, check’em out.
FYI – Swim Canada hasn’t uploaded them yet.
I would like to take a moment to shine the spot-light on two of our swimmers: Alexandra Mircovik and Curtis Edmunds.
Alexandra completed the 11.8km Skaha Lake Ultra Swim this weekend at a time of just over 4 hours.
Similarly, on the opposite side of the country, Curtis Edmunds was the first swimmer to complete this year’s Give To Live’s Big Swim. This charity swim is across the Northumberland Strait from New Brunswick to Borden-Carleton, P.E.I.
Both Alexandra and Curtis deserve a big congratulations for their excellent performances – keep up the great swimming!
